In TN it varies by county, and my RV tags are $25 a year.

RE: How important is 90 degree turning?

I've had a B&W Companion for 20 years, and tried the B&W sliding base for a while, but after it tore up the top of my tailgate once I went back to the Companion base. I have it set 3" behind the axle and no problems with Ram short bed.

RE: Thoughts on trip out west

bsbeedub, Thanks for posting, sounds like a great trip like I had out there 5 years ago.

RE: 5th wheel emergency tow Leavenworth In/ Louisville Ky

Just leave the 5er connected like I did a few years ago. The wrecker took me to an Rv park and dropped the 5er, then took my truck to a Dealer lot.

RE: Leland pin box 7900

Quote from Etrailer : "According to my contact at Reese the Leland 7900 pin box has the same measurements as the 7910. Which means that if you are looking for a pin box replacement for additional turning clearance the best choice is a Sidewinder pin box part # ST400-5AS16K. This moves the pivot point back for the trailer 22-1/2 inches which will allow a short bed truck to make tight turns without needing a slider hitch."

RE: Reese Goose box spacers

A 1621 is 12" wide, and if your Goosebox is 12" you don't need spacers.

RE: New to 5th wheeling

I would check the clearances before towing, and you might need an offset ball for the Mega Cab, or get the auto slider mentioned above.
